FAITH FORMATION COMMISSION

VISION FOR THE COMMISSION

St. Edna Faith Formation Commission will enable our Parishioners to develop a strong spiritual life by providing an environment to learn, live and grow as Catholic Christians.

ROLE OF A MEMBER OF THE COMMISSION

The role of a member of the Faith Formation Commission is to embrace, articulate and support the vision of the Commission; and to have a thorough understanding of the synergies of the Ministries which make up the Faith Formation Commission.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE COMMISSION

By consistent and thorough communication with the Parish Pastoral Council and Faith Formation Ministries, we will:

· Affirm the strength of our existing Ministries

· Share successes with other Commissions and Ministries

· Identify and address the needs of our existing Faith Formation Ministries

· Identify and address the Faith Formation needs of St. Edna Parish

PARISH LIFE COMMISSION

VISION FOR THE COMMISSION

To help build community in the Parish and foster a sense of belonging.

ROLE OF A MEMBER OF THE COMMISSION

The role of a member of the Parish Life Commission is to embrace, articulate and support the vision of the Commission; and to have a thorough understanding of the synergies of the Ministries which make up the Parish Life Commission.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE COMMISSION

By consistent and thorough communication with the Parish Pastoral Council and Parish Life Ministries, we will:

· Support parish activities and events as celebrations of community

· Encourage our Ministries and challenge ourselves to be imaginative and

bring forward new ideas.

· Emphasize that the purpose of all of our activities is to make the members of the Parish feel not only welcome, but part of the community.

WORSHIP COMMISSION

VISION FOR THE COMMISSION

St. Edna Worship Commission will create an environment of full, conscious and active participation which provides a relevant and vibrant worship experience.

ROLE OF A MEMBER OF THE COMMISSION

The role of a member of the Worship Commission is to embrace, articulate and support the vision of the Commission; and to have a thorough understanding of the synergies of the Ministries which make up the Worship Commission.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE COMMISSION

By consistent and thorough communication with the Parish Pastoral Council and Worship Ministries, we will:

· Affirm the strength of our existing Ministries and identify opportunities for improvement

· Evaluate the effectiveness of liturgies and ministries to assure the quality of the worship experience

· Commit to development and faith formation for Commission members, their areas of ministry and the assembly

· Participate in seasonal liturgical preparation and coordination of liturgies

HUMAN CONCERNS COMMISSION

VISION FOR THE COMMISSION

The vision of the Human Concerns Commission is that of a Parish Community united in their Christ-like compassion, motivated to learn and act to provide for the physical, emotional and spiritual fulfillment of our brothers and sisters.

ROLE OF A MEMBER OF THE COMMISSION

The role of a member of the Human Concerns Commission is to embrace, articulate and support the vision of the Commission; and to have a thorough understanding of the synergies of the Ministries which make up the Human Concerns Commission.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE COMMISSION

By consistent and thorough communication with the Parish Pastoral Council and Human Concerns Ministries, we will:

· Witness efforts in all areas of care ministry and social outreach

· Motivate Parishioners to become active through service

Inspire the Community to become involved in Christ’s mission to “feed the hungry”
